Chitwan Jungle Safari Tour Itinerary Day 1: Drive to Sauraha This morning you will have a good breakfast and pack your things and equipment as you are leaving Kathmandu for exciting adventures in Chitwan. It lies 155 km southwest of Kathmandu valley in Terai plains, and it takes about 4.5 hours to get our private vehicle. After you arrive at Chitwan, you will be escorted to your resort where you will get a short briefing on your accommodation and services available. You will freshen up and have lunch followed by a Village tour in Chitwan. The majority of people are Tharu here, and the Tharu Village tour is quite extraordinary to experience. Tharus are rich in culture, daily practices, stick dances and traditions, different living styles, customs, rituals, arts, and crafts, etc. which our tour guide will fully describe you. In the evening you will enjoy the Tharu cultural dance and stay overnight at the hotel — dinner, and overnight at the resort.
